Are you looking for an exciting employment opportunity this summer? Do you have an idea or passion you would like to share with the world? Why not turn it into a business? Applications are open for the 2024 Summer Company program!
This provincially funded program offers students aged 15 – 29 the opportunity to work for themselves and start a business over the summer. The program provides:
- Up to $3000 in grant money to help fund the business
- Training on real-world tools and best practices for running a business
- Mentoring and coaching from experienced business owners
- An opportunity for you to make money and be your own boss
The Waterloo Region Small Business Centre with be holding an information session on April 17 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. During this session, you will:
- Review Summer Company eligibility and program guidelines
- Learn details and tips on completing the application
- Meet the program coordinator and get the chance to discuss your idea
