This month for our SDGtalks series we will explore Sustainable Development Goal #11, Sustainable Cities & Communities.

For this topic, we are diving into what makes our cities and communities sustainable. Sustainable communities are not only green – they are also inclusive, safe, and affordable. This conversation will cover what our cities are doing right and where they can improve to reach the goal of creating sustainable cities built for everyone.

Join us for an evening of engaging conversation, networking, and light refreshments as we all discuss what we can do to build more sustainable cities and communities.

This month we are joined by:

Anna Marie Cipriani – Corporate Sustainability Officer, City of Kitchener

Ena Ristic – Senior Sustainability Officer, City of Waterloo

On-street parking: There are more than 300 free, two-hour street parking spaces in downtown Kitchener. You cannot park in an on-street parking space twice within five hours.

Electric vehicle charging: There is an electric vehicle charging station on-street on Francis Street at the corner of Joseph Street.

Light refreshments will be provided. Additionally, there are multiple cafes and restaurants within one block of the venue.
