Presented by Carolyn Watson – Immigration Consultant, RCIC-IRB, COMPASS Immigration Solutions

This workshop is designed for newcomer entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners who are navigating Canada’s immigration system. We will explore how starting a business can be a pathway to permanent residency, and how to align your business plan with specific immigration programs like Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) and the Start-up Visa. This session will provide clarity on complex rules and requirements, helping you avoid common pitfalls and make informed decisions on your entrepreneurial journey in Canada. Our aim is to demystify the process and equip you with the knowledge to pursue your long-term immigration goals.

This workshop is ideal for individuals currently in Canada on a temporary status, such as a study or work permit. It is especially valuable for those exploring how their business idea can serve as a pathway to permanent residency. The session will also touch on how entrepreneurial and self-employment activities may impact existing permanent residents’ residency obligations, and how to navigate common issues related to travel and business ownership.

If you’re interested in this workshop, please consider filling out this survey to allow the presenter to learn more about what the attendees are hoping to learn.
